MARGIN / SERVICE INFORMATION

Your stock is your business.

UPDATED 11 OCTOBER 2026

What we store

We store your Site sign-in identifier, name, email, subscription status, preferences and terms-acceptance date. We retain historical usage and workspace trial/account dates, inventory and supplier details, costs, estimates, evidence links, dates, recorded sales, expenses and optional performance baselines. If you use tax-reserve features, those settings are stored separately. Do not enter buyer contact details, card information or sensitive personal information in item notes.

Billing information

Stripe processes paid subscriptions. Margin stores the Stripe customer, subscription, checkout and price identifiers needed to grant or remove access, plus subscription status and relevant billing dates. Margin does not receive or store full payment-card details. Stripe's own privacy notice applies to its processing.

Support, reviews and owner access

Signed-in contact, bug, complaint, security and review forms store the submitted text, your account identifier and email, timestamps and status. The owner can access seller accounts, usage, support submissions and disclosed business results for service operation, security and aggregate performance analysis. Personal tax-profile details are excluded from owner analytics. Only consented and moderated reviews publish a nickname, rating, text and date.

Market and catalogue data

No marketplace account or guaranteed live valuation feed is connected. External product search and retailer feeds are not part of this release. Private stock and tax profiles are not published. Seller-entered prices and comparable counts are not independently verified.

Optional community sale benchmarks

Recording inventory or a sale does not authorise sharing. For an individual completed, settled sale you can actively choose to contribute its brand, SKU, exact size, colour, condition, item price retained after refunds and excluding buyer-paid postage, sale country, workspace currency and sale date. We record the consent notice version and time. The purpose is to support aggregate selling-price context for Margin members if that feature is reintroduced. Benchmark search is not available in this release. Names, account identifiers, emails, suppliers, acquisition costs, notes, individual stock records, tax settings and profit are not returned in benchmark results.

A result needs matching contributions from at least five other accounts within the past 90 days. If benchmark search is reintroduced, it will use one latest eligible sale per other account, up to 200 recent accounts, to show a range, average, median and sample size. The figures are labelled seller-reported and unverified. Existing records remain private unless you deliberately opt them in. Sharing is optional and does not affect your plan, private records or allowance.

Uncheck sharing and save the item, use its withdrawal button, or choose “Withdraw all my sale contributions” in Account. Withdrawal removes the contribution from subsequent benchmark queries immediately after the save succeeds. Deleting a record or changing it back to unsold also removes it. We retain a consent or withdrawal event for accountability. Previously viewed aggregate figures cannot be recalled from another member’s device. The operator information below must be completed before public commercial launch.

Purposes, providers and retention

Records are used to provide and secure the service, enforce allowances, administer subscriptions, answer support requests and understand usage. Hosting, authentication and databases use OpenAI Sites infrastructure; subscription billing uses Stripe. We do not sell personal information or add advertising tracking. Records are retained while your account is active and as needed for security, accounting, legal obligations and dispute handling.

Your choices

You can export inventory as CSV and delete individual inventory records. Contact madjay2906@gmail.com to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or withdrawal of review-publication consent where applicable. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Operator information

Margin is a working product name. The operator's full legal name, geographic service address, final retention schedule and applicable international-transfer information must be published before paid public launch.
